An In-Depth Look Into The Future: What Will The Lightweight Double Buggy Industry Look Like In 10 Years?

A Lightweight Double Buggy For Families With Twins Or Closer Together

If you have twins or two children close in age, a double buggy could be a game changer. They are wider and have more seating options than single strollers.

However, they don't need to be bulky or heavy. Some come with narrow designs and fold flat, making them easier to squeeze into tight spots or to move up and down steps.

Leclerc Influencer

This compact stroller weighs only 6.6 kg and comes with an auto-folding mechanism which can be operated in a matter of minutes. It can be used from birth using the bassinet that is available (sold separately) and is also approved by the cabin to be used in overhead bins on flights however it is best to check with your airline's guidelines as they do vary. Jane the mother of two who is our tester, says the Influencer Air is incredibly easy to push and provides good stability. She also appreciates that the sun canopy is adjustable providing adequate coverage for taller children, and the stroller comes with the capacity to hold a cup for travel. There are additional accessories available, such as a transparent rain cover and a Teddy Footmuff which combines a comfortable teddy sherpa liner with a water-resistant outer fabric to keep you warm in colder weather.

Leclerc's Baby Impactcer XL is a step above its competitors with its stunning design, vibrant colours and well-constructed frame and fabric materials. Its quick folding system that is one-touch allows it to be folded and unfolded in 1.5 seconds which makes it perfect for daily use or long trips. It comes with a travel bag to make it easier. It can be packed in your car or on a train or in the overhead compartment of the plane.

iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange is a great option for parents with cash to spend who want a lightweight buggy that has a variety of distinctive useful features. It comes with an innovative integrated ride-on board, a super large basket, and car seat adapters. The optional risers can be used to convert it into a tandem.

It is easy to push due to its good turning circle, and the suspension bounces off bumps. It's also simple to maneuver, even when children are sitting on the front wheels. In double mode, it's slightly more difficult to negotiate large curbs as the weight shifts to the front. However this is the case for the majority of twin buggies.

The back wheels have been made smaller in this update to 2021, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces like doors and shops as well as on public transportation. They're solid and durable with tyre treads that coped well on muddy and grassy bridleway. It's easy to fold, too - just release a clip near the rear wheels and pull two levers towards the handle. When folded, it stands on its own. There's also a mesh sun screen for the seat and carrycot that can be popped onto in mere seconds.

Joie Evalite Duo

The Joie Evalite Duo was designed to make travelling with two people as simple as possible. It weighs only 10kg making it one of the lightest twin strollers on the market. It's extremely easy to move, ride or lift and load. The pushchair can be folded into a flat position with one hand, and it stands on its own. It's also compatible with Joie Gemm and i-Snug baby car seats (car seat sold separately) to make a complete travel system.

A drawback is that the back seat doesn't fully recline however, it's not a major issue for an otherwise fantastic double buggy. Another disadvantage is that you aren't able to add a buggy board, however that's not uncommon in side-by-side designs.

Overall overall, the Evalite is a wonderful buggy that, with a few tweaks could become a perfect model. It's easy to drive and the seats are comfortable for children of all different ages. The handle is cushioned, making it easier to grip and the wheels have suspension to ensure a smooth ride. It's also extremely sturdy and has a decent amount of storage space, especially when you attach the shopping basket. It's also a stylish pushchair with a variety of appealing colour options.

It's a top rated double stroller that is ideal for those who need a variety of seating options and a durable, all-terrain buggy.

It comes with a fantastic canopy that offers plenty of coverage that is easily adjustable to various head heights. It's higher than most of its competitors, so it might not be suitable for parents who have shorter strides, but is still a great choice for those who have longer strides. The front wheels are able to lock or rotate, which is great to steer on uneven terrain.

The only drawback to this stroller is that it doesn't fold like the other strollers we have in our list. The second seat needs to be removed in order to fold the stroller, which could be a problem if you want to store it in a vehicle or closet. It does, however, have one of the largest storage bins we've seen in our rankings, so it should still be a decent fit for most people who need a lightweight double stroller for their family.

Graco SnugRide SnugLock

The Graco SnugRide SnugLock infant car seat is rear-facing and comes with a base. It features an SnugLock arm, which acts as a giant clamp for holding the seatbelt. This arm can be closed easily with just one hand and requires only a little force to close. It is especially suitable for parents or grandparents with arthritis or weak muscles. It's a great alternative for those who prefer to use seatbelts and don't want LATCH.

This model comes with a variety of features, including a silent canopy and a harness with no rethread. It can also be converted into a highchair, and comes with a one-handed handle adjustment. The SnugRide SnugLock DLX is a bit narrow at 17 inches, which makes it an ideal choice for three across vehicles. It also has a load leg that limits rotation and absorbs the force of a crash.

The FAA has approved it for international and domestic travel. It can be positioned without a base using a standard belt routing or European route (the seatbelt should go through the lap portion and not the shoulders). It can also be installed on the seat of your vehicle using a lockoff and lower anchors.
